Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the vehicle is reversing. Note: This recall affects both Tundra and Tundra hybrid models equipped with a panoramic view monitor system. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display correctly could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Toyota will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the parking assist electronic control unit software.

Issue: On certain trucks, the reverse lamp assemblies may not be sealed correctly. As a result, over time, water could leak into the lamp(s) and cause them not to work. Note: This recall affects both Tundra and Tundra Hybrid models. Safety Risk: Reverse lamps that don't work could cause others not to recognize when a vehicle is backing up, and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Toyota will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace both reverse lamp assemblies. Additionally, the dealer will inspect and, if necessary, repair the wiring for the reverse lamps.
