2027 F-150 Raptor and Tremor Start Thousands Cheaper
Ford’s new entry Tremor opens at $62,440 and the base Raptor at $77,790, about $5,270 and $4,010 under last year’s openers. Off-road hardware stays. Cabin extras become options. That is how truck trim ladders work now.

DEARBORN — Ford cut thousands off the opening stickers for the 2027 F-150 Tremor and Raptor. The catch is in the order guide, not the shocks.
The new entry Tremor starts at $62,440, about $5,270 under the 2026 opener. The new base Raptor starts at $77,790, about $4,010 less. Those are Ford’s official numbers, and they are the ones that will show up in ads.
They are not the same trucks with a surprise discount. Ford added lower equipment groups that keep the off-road parts and delete comfort content.
On Tremor, the locking rear differential, longer-travel suspension, and trail hardware stay. You lose heated front seats, dual-zone climate, the power rear window, running boards, and the eight-speaker Bang & Olufsen system. Manual climate and a six-speaker audio setup take their place, with an STX-style wheel.
The cheaper Raptor follows the same idea. Powertrain and suspension stay. Gone are the head-up display, fog lamps, power passenger seat, power-adjustable steering column, under-seat storage, and the Mobile Office package. Audio drops from 14 Bang & Olufsen speakers to eight. Bed Pro Power Onboard falls from 2.0 kilowatts to 400 watts. Empty fog-lamp housings are part of the deal if you want aftermarket lights later.
Full-size trucks have spent years climbing into luxury-crossover money. When Ford wants a lower Tremor or Raptor opener, it does not rewrite the suspension. It sells the capability first and puts seats, speakers, and screens back on the options sheet. Read the savings line without the build sheet and you will order the wrong truck.
The rest of the 2027 F-150 refresh keeps that trade-off in view. A twin-turbo 3.0-liter EcoBoost replaces the 2.7 as the base six, still at 325 horsepower, with peak torque arriving earlier. The 5.0-liter V8 spreads across more of the lineup again, including King Ranch and Platinum. BlueCruise adds hands-free towing on mapped divided highways, capped at 75 mph, with a trailer profile you have to fill in. Base XL opens at $42,630; Platinum at $71,595.
If you are shopping an off-road F-150, build it twice: once as the new entry package and once with the comfort pieces put back. Compare payments on both, then price insurance and fuel the same way. Run the car affordability calculator before a Saturday at the dealer turns into a loaded cabin you did not plan to buy.
Our Galpin Ford dossier is a useful Valley stop for that compare. Last week’s DOT-Ford China deals note is the other Dearborn story still hanging over the brand.
The cheaper stickers are real. They also tell you what Ford thinks buyers will trade away first: soft features, not the hardware that puts the badge on the fender.
