A Korean American Audi Store on Garvey Just Bought Downtown Too
Grace Motorcars started with Audi West Covina and Korean-speaking service for the San Gabriel Valley. A Sept. 28 close adds Audi and Volkswagen Downtown L.A. First luxury is also who owns the showroom.

WEST COVINA — On Garvey Avenue in West Covina, the Audi store hugs the freeway edge of the San Gabriel Valley like any other German franchise. For Victor Oh and Julian Kim, it was the first rooftop of a Korean American dealer group that just got a lot bigger.
Oh's Grace Motorcars closed on Audi Downtown Los Angeles and Volkswagen of Downtown Los Angeles on September 28, buying both from Lithia & Driveway. Anthony Holbrook, a Dave Cantin Group managing director who advised the sale, said Oh wanted to grow with Audi after early success at West Covina. Porsche used to share that downtown property and moved across the street earlier this year. Grace took the two franchises that stayed.
West Covina came first. In June 2025, Oh bought the store from Envision Motors with Julian Kim as co-owner. Oh has spent more than 25 years inside Audi, Porsche, Lexus, Toyota, and BMW rooftops, including stretches overseeing operations across 14 stores. Kim came up running strong Audi stores in the L.A. metro and later worked Mercedes-Benz and Hyundai product launches.
When they announced the takeover in August, they told The Korea Daily they would staff Korean-speaking sales and service so households could negotiate and book work without translating every line item. Kim put it plainly: lowest prices, fastest turnaround, fewer unnecessary procedures, and customers treated like family. The website still offers a Korean path next to Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Tagalog.
In East SGV towns like West Covina, Walnut, and Diamond Bar, the first-luxury argument often starts at Lexus. It gets stuck when someone asks whether German service will feel like family dinner or a lecture. Who owns the rooftop is part of that answer.
Oh also owns Paris Baguette shops in Encino and downtown L.A. Same instinct: build where customers already shop and move through the week. Korean on the service lane is the car version of that map.
Longo Lexus in El Monte still anchors a lot of the valley's hybrid-luxury default. Genesis of South Bay has sold Korean-language ownership for years in Torrance. What is new is Korean American capital inside German showrooms on both ends of the L.A. basin: Garvey Avenue and downtown.
If your household is shortlisting a Q5 against an RX, NX, or GV70, treat the dealer the way you treat the payment. Ask who will explain the service loaner in the language you use at home. Ask whether the store feels like a corridor you already know. Run the numbers in the car affordability calculator before the showroom soundtrack picks a lease for you.

Grace Motorcars is still young. Two Audi points and a downtown Volkswagen store will not rewrite Southern California luxury. They put Asian American owners behind German rooftops that neighbors already cross-shop.
